Complete Rotations in Cayley

چکیده
As it is introduced by Bermond, Prennes, and Kodate and by Fragopoulou and Akl, some Cayley graphs, including most popular models for intercon-nection networks, admit a special automorphism, called complete rotation. Such an automorphism is often used to derive algorithms or properties of the underlying graph. For example, some optimal gossiping algorithms can be easily designed by using a complete rotation, and the constructions of the best known edge disjoint spanning trees in the toroidal meshes and the hypercubes are based on such an automorphism. Our purpose is to investigate such Cayley graphs. We relate some symmetries of a graph with potential algebraic symmetries appearing in its deenition as a Cay-ley graph on a group.

Regular maps from Cayley graphs, part 1: Balanced Cayley maps
Skoviera, M. and J. ‘&Iii, Regular maps from Cayley graphs, Part i: Balanced Cayley maps, Discrete Mathematics IO9 (1992) 265-276. A Cayley map is a Cayley graph 2-cell embedded in some orientable surface so that the local rotations at every vertex are identical. Two types of Cayley maps are introduced: the balanced and antibalanced Cayley maps. In Part 1, conditions are given uuder which a bal...

In this paper we generalize previous results on attitude representations using Cayley transforms First we show that proper orthogonal matrices that naturally represent rotations can be generated by a form of conformal analytic mappings in the space of matrices Using a natural parallelism between the elements of the complex plane and the real matrices we generate higher order Cayley transforms a...
متن کاملOn two-dimensional Cayley graphs
A subset W of the vertices of a graph G is a resolving set for G when for each pair of distinct vertices u,v in V (G) there exists w in W such that d(u,w)≠d(v,w). The cardinality of a minimum resolving set for G is the metric dimension of G. This concept has applications in many diverse areas including network discovery, robot navigation, image processing, combinatorial search and optimization....
متن کاملAn Algorithmic Solution to the Five-Point Pose Problem Based on the Cayley Representation of Rotations
Abstract. We give a new algorithmic solution to the well-known five-point relative pose problem. Our approach does not deal with the famous cubic constraint on an essential matrix. Instead, we use the Cayley representation of rotations in order to obtain a polynomial system from epipolar constraints. Solving that system, we directly get relative rotation and translation parameters of the camera...
